Rebuild Better Together provides a positive and encouraging environment for spinal cord injured persons who have lost family support. Our team of volunteers, “Friends of Dennis”, strive to make a difference by being there. Our goal is to foster relationships by helping navigate the often-confusing health care system. The idea is to provide these patients with information on insurance, Social Security, and other resources that are available. In maintaining HIPAA compliance, we can take on the role of patient advocate to help navigate the red tape and work alongside of professional advocates. The Better Together program aims to reduce the emotional burden of an abrupt change of lifestyle. We will also always deliver gentle words, prayer, and a tote bag of comfort. The tote bag will provide comfort from a variety of items such as: Nutrition bars, healthy snack foods, greeting card, fleece blanket, computer laptop tables, Giraffe Bottle Hands-Free Drinking Systems, neck pillows etc…
